Chains, attachments and flexible transfer
Messages remain individually attributable even where later emails quote earlier content. Attachment extraction preserves the source-message link and unique content is counted once.
Individual MSG or EML files may be eligible for a future active-project portal route. ZIP is recommended but not mandatory. Large or structured mailbox collections may use encrypted physical media and should not be split artificially.

What if an MSG or EML will not open?
